GDPR Awareness for Care Homes Workshops

All care homes need to comply with the General Data Protection Regulations (GDPR) when it comes into effect on 25th May 2018.  GDPR stipulate how care homes collect, use and retain personal information. It has far and wide-reaching implications for care homes.

This seminar/workshop is a necessary first step to compliance. All content used in our seminars and workshops have been created specifically with the practical challenges of a care home environment in mind.

The workshops and seminars will inform and advise you and your employees about your compliance obligations under GDPR and other data protection laws. More importantly, it provides attendees with the means to do so by showing you how to produce and implement relevant policies and procedures into your care home, as well as spreading awareness and knowledge through in-house training.

You will leave the session with:

  • a comprehensive checklist of what your care home needs to have in place
  • a certificate from Cura Systems that you have attended the training to use as evidence of your care home’s commitment to becoming GDPR compliant
  • an in-depth workbook which will include tasks you will have completed on the day

These GDPR workshops are specifically for care homes and have been developed by a Data Compliance and Security Officer who previously worked for the NHS, covering both Information Governance and Information Security, and has first-hand experience of the running of a care home.
